What to Bring

Please note: There will be organized transportation to the Arava Institute that will leave from Tel Aviv on the first day of the semester. It will leave Tel Aviv at 11:00 AM on the first day of the semester — students are asked to arrive the night before or early in the morning on the first day of the semester.

Jeans/trousers school supplies- paper, pens, notebooks, etc.
shorts two sets of single/twin size sheets (sheets are not provided)
t-shirts towels
warm long-sleeved shirts sleeping bag ( optional)
winter coat and hat camera
underwear, socks day pack
sweaters, sweatshirts travel alarm clock ( optional)
Swim suit flashlight
pajamas sunscreen
nicer clothes for Shabbat (Sabbath), special events or holidays two canteens or insulated bottle containers
hiking boots ( optional) camping mattress/and other camping gear ( optional)
sneakers/trainers hand-laundry soap ( optional)
sandals snorkel and mask ( optional)
sun hat Laptop (optional but highly recommended)
  • Prescription medicines: Please bring the entire quantity you will need during your stay in Israel. DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOUR PRESCRIPTION CAN BE FILLED IN ISRAEL.
  • If you are a lifeguard, please bring your certification.
  • If you have a driver’s license, please bring the original with you.
