Dr. Yaron Finzi

Dr. Yaron Finzi is a lecturer at the Arava Institute and a research scientist in the Arava Dead-Sea Science Center. He received his Ph.D in geophysics from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and completed his Post-Doc in computational geoscience at the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Queensland, Australia. He was a member of the Southern California Earthquake Center from 2005-2013 as well as several other professional groups in the last 15 years. He has also written several scientific publications and received 8 research grants, most recently on the assessment of earthquake risk in Eilat with emphasis on local economic impact.
