Dr. Ofer Margalit has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University. His research focuses on the ethics of responsibility, with an emphasis on the development of personal responsibility in times of broader crisis. He has an M.A. in Jewish Thought from Tel Aviv University, in conjunction with the Hartman Institute, where he was a Melamdim Fellow, and B.A. in Classics from Bar Ilan University. Ofer teaches at the high school, pre-collegiate, and collegiate levels. In 2005, Ofer studied for one year at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, an experience that profoundly changed him (and is also where he met his wife). He grew up in a kibbutz in the center of Israel and now lives with his family in Jerusalem.
