The Arava Institute’s Center for Transboundary Water Management (CTWM) recently entered a partnership with the Middle East Desalination Research Center (MEDRC) in Muscat, Oman, to develop programs for water management in the Middle East, recruiting students from Israel, Palestine and Jordan. MEDRC specializes in trainings and capacity building for students and professionals in the fields of water management and wastewater treatment. The Institute is looking forward to working with this high level professional organization, and to the opportunity to forge relations with the research bodies in the Gulf States where water scarcity is an acute challenge.
