High school students from Jordan and Israel recently came together at Ein-Gedi to begin the dialogue necessary to cooperatively discuss solutions to the environmental challenges of the region. Students and teachers from both sides of the Dead Sea, as well as an archeologist, participated in educational and community-building activities. Two Arava Institute Students, Fareed Mahameed and Sasha Pesci, acted as teaching assistants and led the exercises which highlighted the importance of the Dead Sea and the strength and potential of the area’s youth when united towards a common goal.
