Meet Avigail Ben Yohanan, new Israel Ride Director

We have recently welcomed another addition to our staff: Avigail Ben Yohanan is the new Israel Ride Director. Avigail was born and raised in Jerusalem, and has recently moved to Kibbutz Ketura with her husband and daughter. Her connection to Ketura goes back to when she volunteered here as part of a youth movement program, a memorable experience for her. In the past she has worked in interfaith and cross-cultural organizations as well as spending a few years in the USA and the UK working as an emissary for the Jewish Agency. Avigail has a Masters degree in Geography and Environmental Planning and Development from Hebrew University, though she has always worked in informal education and more recently, logistics. She hopes that her role as Israel Ride Director will combine her love for the environment with her logistical experience, and is happy to be a part of the Arava Institute staff.
