Former Arava Institute professors, Stuart Schoenfeld of York University and Assaf Zohar of Trent University, and Arava Institute Research Interns Ilan Alleson, Osama Suleiman and Galya Sipos-Randor recently collaborated on an article entitled “A Place of Empathy in a Fragile, Contentious Landscape: Environmental Peacebuilding in the Eastern Mediterranean.” Published in a new collection of essays entitled The Geographies of Peace: New Approaches to Boundaries, Diplomacy and Conflict, the article discusses the Arava Institute’s mission of peace-building and speaks directly to Institute alumni to record their experiences.
