The Arava Institute at the United Nations

Recently, Dr. Clive Lipchin, the director of the Arava Institute’s Center for Trans-boundary Water Management participated in the United Nations DPI-NGO panel “Every Drop of Water Makes a Difference.” Dr. Lipchin provided background on the chronic water scarcity in the region, as well as information on the innovative solutions Israel is putting forward to address these water challenges, including desalination and wastewater treatment. Dr. Lipchin also presented on the trans-boundary water challenges of the region and the way the Arava Institute is working across borders to provide pioneering solutions for communities in Israel, Palestine and Jordan.
