Water, Cooperation, and Peace in the Middle East
American University’s Summer and Intersession Study Abroad Program (SIS), in partnership with the Arava Institute, offers a practicum focused on examining and assessing cooperative Palestinian-Israeli water projects for their significance as peacebuilding initiatives and practices. 2015 research projects will likely build on the Arava Institute’s “Mitigating Transboundary Wastewater Conflicts” initiative, which seeks to reduce conflict and promote dialogue through shared water management.
