The Arava Institute celebrates 20 years of environmental leadership and Israeli-Palestinian-Jordanian cooperation

On Wednesday evening, the Arava Institute held a public celebration at Tzavta Theater in Tel Aviv, to conclude our 20th year, and honor some of our longtime supporters and partners.

The event, hosted by actress Keren Mor, was an evening full of love and appreciation. The audience applauded Members of the Knesset Tzipi Livni, Zehava Galon and Dov Khenin, as well as former Palestinian ministers Tahani Abu Daqqa and Ashraf Al-Ajrami. The evening also included musical performances from Shaanan Street, Francoise Atlan and Achinoam Nini.

During the evening, awards were given to show appreciation to Arava Institute founder Miriam Sharton, Monther Hind of the Palestinian Wastewater Engineering Group and a key partner of the Center for Transboundary Water Management, Dr. Uri Shanas, ecological researcher and activist and one of the first faculty members of the Institute, and Achinoam Nini, Institute Public Council member and outspoken proponent of dialogue, cooperation and peace, for their support and cooperation over the years. In addition, it was an opportunity for Public Council members and other supporters, Arava Institute staff, faculty, and alumni to gather and celebrate 20 years of environmental leadership and regional cooperation.
